Eric Moore is a high-impact drummer known for combining serious groove with jaw-dropping technique — the kind of player who can lock a band down hard and still turn heads with pure ability. Originally from Stockton, California, he gained major national attention after winning the Guitar Center Drum-Off in the early 2000s, which helped launch his career into touring, clinic work, and an increasingly visible presence in the modern drumming world.
As a performer, Moore has worked across multiple genres and high-profile settings, including heavy and crossover scenes (notably playing live with Suicidal Tendencies), as well as the worlds of funk, gospel, and R&B, where his pocket and chops both shine. He has also been connected to drumming culture projects that influenced a whole generation of players, including Gospel Chops, and he released educational/performance content under “The Eric Moore Experience.” Alongside performing, he has been active on social media and YouTube for years, where his playing clips and solos helped define the “viral drummer” era — but always with real musicality under the flash.
In recent years, Moore has leaned even harder into education and community-building. He stays busy hosting and appearing at drum clinics and events (with clinics still being announced into late 2025/early 2026), and he continues teaching and mentoring players through his platforms. He’s also grown the business side of his career as the owner of DopeStickz LLC and Drum Resort LLC, keeping his name constantly in circulation through products, bookings, and drummer-focused experiences while still performing and recording when projects come up.
